About
Sponsored by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney
The Arts and Culture Association for Mindful Souls is excited to present a concert, supported by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney featuring five exceptionally talented young musicians from Hong Kong who are actively performing in the vibrant local music scene. A recent highlight of their careers includes participation in the prestigious Le French May Arts Festival in 2022 in Hong Kong.
This concert will showcase a diverse selection of classical repertoire, including beloved pieces such as Debussy's Clair de Lune, Georges Bizet's Carmen Suite alongside arrangements of popular Hong Kong music and compositions by local composers.
In a unique cultural exchange, we are thrilled to welcome guest musician Mr. David Griffiths, Associate Professor of Music (Performance - Clarinet) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne. Griffiths’s background in both classical and contemporary music brings a rich perspective to our program. He has performed extensively across Australia and internationally, blending various musical styles to create captivating performances. This collaboration not only enhances the musical experience but also fosters cross-cultural connections.
The purpose of this concert extends beyond mere entertainment; it serves as a platform for Hong Kong’s young talents to shine and connect with audiences worldwide. We believe that music transcends borders and unites people through shared experiences. Join us for an evening that celebrates the artistry of Hong Kong's musicians while embracing the spirit of cultural exchange with our Australian counterparts.
