About
Celebrate Our Journey, Our Story, Our People
The Chinese Cancer and Chronic Illness Society of Victoria (CCCIS) proudly marks its 30th Anniversary—three decades of supporting people of Chinese heritage affected by chronic illnesses such as cancer and dementia. You are warmly invited to be part of our commemorative anniversary charity concert.
This is not a night about flawless performances, it is a celebration of courage, resilience, and the remarkable strength of those who continue to shine despite illness. Individuals living with chronic conditions—including cancer survivors—will take the stage to share a powerful message: chronic illness is not a sentence of pain or despair, but a reminder that WE CAN—even when life challenges us.
The evening will feature heartfelt performances by our members, including singing and dancing; an energetic Drum-Along segment using fit balls and chopsticks; storytelling pieces that weave together narration and song, and a meaningful skit performed by our past social work and counselling interns, reflecting on what they have learned during their placements. While these performances may appear humble, each one represents tremendous dedication, bravery, and heart.
During the event, we will also present certificates of appreciation to our volunteers, with heartfelt thanks to those who have tirelessly supported CCCIS over the past three decades.
We pay special tribute to the late Diana Cheung, whose generosity and steadfast belief in our mission helped make this concert possible. Her kindness and spirit continue to live on within our community.
Join us in supporting their journey and be part of an evening filled with hope and heart.
