About
In the Happy Place everyone is happy, all the time.
Every week they celebrate a different festival.
During their annual Festival of Javelins, they accidentally bring down an airship.
The strangers crash-land into the Happy Place, bringing all-new emotions.
Will life return to normal?
The Happy Place is great comedy, toe-tapping music, and a great story packed into just 2 hours (+ 20-minute interval).
Stream Camberwell Showtime - The Happy Place on your favourite music platform before you see the show.
Just 8 performances, Sunday August 16 to Saturday August 22 at The Round theatre, Nunawading.
Including one matinee, and several early “school night” shows.
Suitable for ALL ages.
Since 1965 the Scouts of Camberwell Showtime have been making a brand-new show each year.
Their 60th annual production - The Happy Place - is the work and play of 80 young writers and composers, a Cast of 170, a live band, and a young Tech team.
Camberwell Showtime is the biggest, most original and most youth-led of Australia’s 24 Scout shows.
For the young people in the show it’s about fun and friends, developing confidence and teamwork, and learning new skills.
And, while it’s not the aim of the show, many have gone on to creative careers as writers, performers, and technicians in film, TV, radio and print.
