Join circus comedy crew, Dummies Corp after their show for a circus skills workshop that will teach participants some of the very moves, they saw in the show!

No prior ability needed, each individual gets specialised attention from highly skilled, and passionate professionals guiding participants though circus arts. 

 

Workshop will include: 

Game and warm up:
The workshop will start with a group game followed by a mobility warm up, before beginning the circus skills circuit.

Hula hooping:
Participants will learn some basic hula hooping manoeuvres including spinning it on their hands, waist, neck and even on their bum. They will also learn some basic manipulation of the hoop.

Poi spinning:
Participants will learn Some basic poi spinning tricks including forwards, backwards and changing direction.

Plate Spinning:
Participants will learn some basic plate manipulation. Then they will learn to spin 1 plate on a stick, progressing to passing the plate to other participants.

Ball Juggling:
Participants will increase their hand eye coordination through learning some 1, 2 and 3 ball tricks. Throwing and catching as well as balancing.

Acro Balance:
Participants will learn some basic partner counterbalances. They will learn how to attempt some tricks in a safe and controlled manner.
 

This workshop places great emphasis on creative play and self-empowerment for participants to carry this imaginative embodied experience into their lives beyond the workshop.

All children aged 14 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Under 24 months: Free when held by a carer and not occupying a seat.

Seating

Allocations: Seating allocation will be based on, but not limited to, the size of the group, time of booking and final venue configuration so as to be compliant with any restrictions that are in place. This may require allocated seats to be moved to comply with restrictions.
