About
Once upon a time… things got very out of hand.
Welcome to Shrek The Musical: a gloriously chaotic, laugh-out-loud fairytale remix where the princess isn’t waiting politely, the hero smells questionable at best, and the sidekick talks way too much.
Meet Shrek: a swamp-loving ogre who just wants to be left alone. But when a parade of mildly unhinged fairytale misfits invade his swamp, he’s forced into a quest he absolutely did not sign up for. His mission? Rescue a princess. Easy, right?
Wrong.
Throw in a tiny tyrant with an enormous ego and what follows is a wildly unpredictable adventure packed with show-stopping songs, tap-dancing townsfolk, a 6 metre dragon puppet, and enough theatrical mayhem to make a big bad wolf clutch his granny pearls.
Beneath the catchy tunes, fabulous costumes and fire-breathing romance lies a story that hits surprisingly close to home: what if the things that make us “different” are actually the best things about us?
Big, bold, and bursting with heart, Shrek The Musical is a joyous celebration of misfits, weirdos, and anyone who’s ever felt a little out of place.
