The Round presents Charlee Watt & Live Band

Caffeine Fiend is a comfort cabaret about connection — and the rituals that hold us together when everything else feels like it might fall apart.

With a “velvet voice”, “sultry sounds”, and a soundtrack steeped in jazz, award-winning cabaret artist Charlee Watt invites you to have a seat, sip, and indulge in the finer things in life.

Fresh from its world premiere at the 2025 Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival — where it won the coveted Debut Award — Caffeine Fiend makes its Melbourne debut. Backed by an incredible Melbourne-based jazz band, Watt blends timeless standards with contemporary gems, weaving them into stories of love, longing, and the strange, sacred ways we connect over coffee.

Part confessional, part jazz club, this is an intimate hour where caffeine culture becomes a metaphor for human connection: the morning rituals that anchor us, the casual “just a coffee” that changes everything, the moments that keep us standing when we’re running on empty. It’s warm, heartfelt, and grounded in Watt’s emotionally intelligent storytelling.

As Glam Adelaide wrote: “Caffeine Fiend takes us to a jazzy café with sultry sounds and powerhouse vocals.”

Hailing from regional South Australia, Watt is one of the country’s most exciting emerging cabaret voices, with accolades including the Adelaide Critics Circle Emerging Artist Award and the Fringe Encore Award for her breakout hit Beating Up The Beatles. Her performances offer audiences stories that are sharp, soulful, and unapologetically honest.

Whether you’re a triple-shot loyalist, a tea-drinker, or just here for the music, Caffeine Fiend is a show that lingers like the perfect brew — smooth, strong, and impossible to forget.

“She displayed incredible vocal control and power – truly unbelievable for someone who’s just turned 20. She gave us serious sultry saloon singer vibes with a hint of Adele huskiness. Divine.” – Theatre Now
